Game 5 Of The 2024 Nba Finals Is Set To Tip Off On Monday Night With The Denver Nuggets Looking To Close Things Out Against The Miami Heat

NBA Finals Game 5: How to Stream, What to Watch For

Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals is set to tip off on Monday night, with the Denver Nuggets looking to close things out against the Miami Heat.

The Nuggets took a 3-1 lead in the series with a 94-89 victory in Game 4, and they'll be looking to finish the job in front of their home fans in Game 5.

The Heat, meanwhile, will be looking to force a Game 6 back in Miami. They'll need to play a lot better than they did in Game 4, when they shot just 38.2% from the field and turned the ball over 16 times.

Here are four things to look for in Monday's Game 5:

  1. Can the Nuggets close it out? The Nuggets have been the better team throughout the series, and they'll have a chance to close it out in front of their home fans. If they can play with the same intensity and focus that they showed in Game 4, they should be able to get the job done.
  2. Will the Heat make adjustments? The Heat need to make some adjustments if they want to force a Game 6. They need to shoot the ball better, turn the ball over less, and play with more energy. If they can do those things, they'll have a chance to win Game 5 and extend the series.
  3. Who will step up for the Nuggets? Nikola Jokic has been the Nuggets' best player throughout the playoffs, but he's going to need some help from his teammates in Game 5. Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and Michael Porter Jr. all need to have big games if the Nuggets want to close out the series.
  4. Who will step up for the Heat? Jimmy Butler has been the Heat's best player throughout the playoffs, but he's going to need some help from his teammates in Game 5. Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Kyle Lowry all need to have big games if the Heat want to force a Game 6.

Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals is set to tip off on Monday night at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
